Dates & Workshops

The last Thursday before the summer break is July 28th and we start again on September 1^st –basically we are having August off.

We will finish for Christmas on Dec 15^th (half term to be decided).

There will also be –

A Sunday afternoon normal S&K session (£4) on

September 11th
Oct 9th
November 6^th
December 11th

A workshop on October 23 rd – Create a Celebration Sampler £30 –linen & hoop provided – see below for ideas

A follow up workshop on November 20^th(£10)

We are planning to have a few workshops next year and our ideas at the moment are below(in no particular order).These are not definite but things we are exploring. Any other ideas welcome.

Lace knitting – for newishknitters & for those who want to learn to use charts & add beads
Lace Knitting –learn to knit a shawl & incorporate beads – for intermediate level knitters
Beaded bag – different style to last time – for all levels
Hardanger heart with ribbon work
Mountmellick work
Fabric Bag
Cables & bobbles
Fair Isle

SEW A CELEBRATION SAMPLER

Sew, Socialise & Have Fun

Sun Oct 23 2011 £30 (prices maintained for 2011)

Have you ever wanted to create a personal & modern sampler of your own design to commemorate an event, a place or an occasion?

You can sew one using your own motifs designed on graph paper or ones from design books.

You will also learn everything you need to know about the history of samplers and how to create your own using a variety of stitches, beads and charms.

Fabric & hoop will be provided but you will need to bring threads -details on booking.
